Summer and Winter Classes in Gaza City

YouthCode-Gaza is the 12-month adaptation of Code.X’s flagship 3-year program, run jointly with local Palestinian partner Amideast West Bank & Gaza. YouthCode-Gaza provides students with a unique approach to computer science, human-centered design, and project management fundamentals, taught by Code.X volunteers from top U.S. universities and tech companies. Our curriculum develops computational, creative, and critical thinking skills in youth, preparing them to become change agents in their communities. After three educational camps, students graduate from the program after presenting an entrepreneurial idea and mobile development prototype.

YouthCode-Gaza is on indefinite pause due to the ongoing destruction in the Gaza Strip. For more information, please see our Palestine Status Update and Student Support posts.

Program Design

YouthCode-Gaza’s pilot cohort includes 50 students selected from Gaza’s top performers. This program design furthers the innovative approach to technology education previously provided through Code for Palestine, which Code.X offered in partnership with PalTel Group Foundation from 2015 to 2022, graduating 300+ Palestinian youth who now constitute a sustainable community of young tech leaders and creators in Palestine.
