Overnight Summer Camp in the West Bank

Code.X provides international instructors and small-group mentors for Horizons Academy, a yearlong cohort-based personal development program facilitated by our Palestinian partner AlNayzak Organization. During this program, Code.X instructors travel to Jericho to teach our human-centered design course Creative Mindsets with 8th and 9th graders, as well as mentor students on topics like computer science, applying to university, job searching, and self empowerment. These courses are delivered during the Horizons Academy summer overnight camp, which facilitates close relationships between students and staff and prioritizes providing resources and guidance to Palestine’s brightest students.

Horizons Academy is a Palestinian initiative aimed at developing and supporting young gifted high school students by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools to succeed in obtaining a scholarship and compete for admissions in the top universities worldwide.

Our Local Partner

AlNayzak is an independent educational and scientific organization founded in Jerusalem in 2003. It is a non-profit, non-partisan organization specializing in education, mentoring and research in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and other educational and applied sciences and Vocational and Technical Training (TVET).
